Capriccio and Echo Pastorale (Merlin’s Voice) is set in the magical forest of Broceliande (Brittany) which has Arthurian connections.
Inspired by a poem of Margaret Buckle in which she likens the elusive call of the cuckoo to Merlin’s voice.
This work has been recorded on CD with Gabrielle Byam - Grounds (flute) and members of English Serenata.
