An arrangement of the Gershwin’s Piano Preludes here for soprano, alto and baritone saxophone.
Gershwin’s three Preludes offer us infusions of blues, ragtime and all-round syncopation, nicely ordered within a classical structure.
The translation from Piano to Saxophone works particularly well, as techniques associated with Jazz can be added, such as note-bending and vibrato.
