The Great Blasket is an Island off the Dingle peninsular, Southern Ireland.
It has spawned many interesting characters, and many books referred to as, ‘The Blasket Library’.
‘The Islandman’ Tomas O’Crohan, ‘Twenty Years A Growing’ Maurice O’Sullivan’ and ‘An Old Womans Reflections’ Peig Sayers being three of many.
This composition is my small addition to this library, with deep respect to the Islanders that were.
